Harney & Sons Tea of the Month – July

This is a very belated review, but in our defense, we’re still drinking our way through both of these…

We are both self-declared tea aficionados, and recently learned about Harney & Sons’ Tea of the Month. Our first box was quite the treat: Peach & Ginger Tea, and Peach Iced Tea.

They also provided us with two samples: Chamomile and Dragon Pearl Jasmine. The teas themselves are tasty and not overly flavored.

I brew about 4 cups of concentrated ice tea from each bag, which lasts us quite a while. It’s tasty, unsweetened, and feels like summer.

The peaches and ginger tea isn’t overly spicy or sweet. I generally enjoy drinking black teas with milk, but I prefer this one on it’s own.

Pet Grooming in Times of COVID

Before, modeling on the streets of Oakland

Nana and Pear are happily adjusting to their new home in sunny Oakland. They love having a yard to roam around in. Unfortunately, with that, come the hazards of the outside…stickers, burrs, tree sap, and other items that get tangled in their fur.

After. Note that we didn’t really touch her head or her tail. We trimmed most of the feathers on her belly and legs, and did some clean up shaping

Fortunately, they’re both OK getting brushed, so we’ve been able to get the worst of it under control. Until Nana came in with over 20 burrs stuck in her feathers.

With nothing better to do, we decided to give her our version of a puppy cut. We think she turned out pretty great…do you agree or not?

Pro Tip: Don’t use dull scissors…it makes it more of a struggle for you and your pet.
